Who provides SAFE
SAFE is provided by Camelops Ltd, trading as Sandbox, company number 16888025, of 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. Contact us at privacy@sandbox.land.
Your agreement with Sandbox
By using SAFE, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use SAFE.
You use SAFE as a member of an organisation and must have authority to act for it. Only give others access where you are entitled to do so.
If you have a written agreement with us, including a design-partner agreement, that agreement takes precedence if it conflicts with these terms. These terms and report disclaimers do not change agreed fees, deliverables, liability or other provisions.
What SAFE provides
SAFE is a Site Assessment and Feasibility Evaluation. It supports early decisions by identifying site and project constraints, risks, gaps in the evidence and suggested next steps before detailed investigation or design.
Findings, ratings, confidence indicators and recommendations are preliminary, indicative and non-exhaustive. Labels such as Consentable, Investible and Deliverable describe the available evidence. They do not guarantee consent, funding, technical feasibility or commercial viability. A risk that is not identified may still exist.
Use the whole assessment in context, rather than relying on an isolated finding. Do not present an extract as the whole assessment.
SAFE is one input into your decisions. It is not legal, planning, environmental, engineering, surveying, financial or cost advice, and does not create a professional retainer. It does not replace professional judgement, consultation, surveys, investigations, consents or technical sign-off.
Sources and further verification
Assessments draw on public, licensed, customer-provided and geospatial information without independent verification. Sources can be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date, generalised or modelled. We do not promise that an assessment is complete, accurate or suitable for a particular decision.
Maps, boundaries, measurements and spatial analysis are indicative, not survey accurate. Do not use them for setting out, excavation, identifying buried services, safe-dig, design, construction or statutory purposes.
An assessment is not a survey, environmental or flood-risk assessment, valuation, planning application, statutory submission, design or construction document. Do not present it as one. Cost, time, programme and value indications support early prioritisation; they are not estimates, budgets, valuations or delivery programmes.
Where AI assists interpretation, summarisation or generation, it can omit context or misread, misstate or misattribute information. Check material findings against primary sources. Obtain verification from suitably qualified professionals before acquisition, investment, funding, procurement, statutory submissions, design or construction decisions.
Assessment date and updates
An assessment records the inputs, sources and circumstances available at its stated date and version. It is a dated assessment, not an ongoing monitoring service. Data, policies and circumstances can change; check which version you hold before using a finding.
We have no obligation to update, supplement or correct an issued assessment except where agreed in writing or required by law. Nothing here removes those agreed obligations or statutory duties.
Accounts and project members
You can prepare a SAFE before registering. To submit it, you need an account with an email address you control.
Keep your sign-in codes private. You are responsible for activity through your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it without permission.
Project members can see shared project information. Their permissions determine whether they can edit it, submit assessments or manage access. Check the access you grant and remove it when it is no longer needed.
Your information and confidentiality
You keep ownership of the project and site information you provide. You allow us to use it to provide SAFE, prepare the assessment and keep the records described in the privacy notice.
You must be entitled to provide the information and it must not infringe another person’s rights. You are responsible for its accuracy and completeness, including boundaries, descriptions and assumptions. Tell us where information is uncertain or incomplete.
Our use of customer information is limited to those purposes and any written agreement with you. This does not give us a general right to sell your submissions, use them to train models or commercialise them for other purposes. Any confidentiality obligations in your written agreement continue to apply.
Share confidential information only with people authorised to receive it. The privacy notice explains how personal information is handled; it is separate from these terms.
Assessments, sharing and source rights
SAFE, its software, assessments and presentation belong to us or our licensors. You may use an assessment for the project it was prepared for. Do not resell it, present it as your own work or use it to build a competing service.
You may share an assessment with your advisers and project stakeholders for information about that project, subject to your written agreement, confidentiality obligations and source licences. Other recipients may not rely on it; we assume no duty of care or responsibility to them except where agreed in writing or required by law.
Keep notices, source marks, watermarks and disclaimers intact. Rights in source data, maps and imagery remain with their owners. Do not extract, reproduce or share them beyond their licences. Handle personal information only for its permitted purpose and in accordance with data-protection law.
Acceptable use
Do not use SAFE unlawfully, submit information you know is false, probe or overload the service, or access information without permission. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Fees
SAFE may be provided under a paid design-partner or other commercial agreement. Fees and payment terms are those agreed with you in writing. We will agree any new charges with you before they apply.
Availability and ending your use
SAFE is in early access. We may change, suspend or withdraw features and do not promise availability at a particular time. This is subject to any service or delivery commitments in your written agreement and your statutory rights.
You can stop using SAFE at any time and ask us to close your account at privacy@sandbox.land. Stopping use does not itself end a separate written agreement or remove obligations already incurred. The privacy notice explains what happens to retained information.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
Subject to that, we are not liable for decisions you take in reliance on a SAFE, for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for indirect or consequential loss.
Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with SAFE is limited to the amount you have paid us for it in the one month immediately before the claim. Where an existing written agreement sets different liability provisions, that agreement takes precedence.
Changes to these terms
Each version has a stated effective date. We will tell you about material changes before they apply where reasonably possible, explaining the change and its timing.
An updated webpage does not retrospectively change an assessment already commissioned or override a written agreement. Changes requiring agreement will be handled under the applicable contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live.
